Ted Time!

Ted Time!

We have two things to gab about this week:
In this corner delightful local food (Hot Italian Sausage! Haddock! Fresh Pasta!) and in this corner Shameless Self Promotion!!!!

TedX Natick
Hey folks!  We have been invited to present at TedX Natick on January 26th. We will be nerding out about farms, data and a humble mission to change the food system.  In the end we will be telling a story about this little company and the wonderful people (like all of you!) who helped us build it.  Oh, and we will be sharing the stage with a Nobel Prize winning Physicist. How cool is that?!?!

We have been working on our presentation in a very analog way, on a big black board in our kitchen - while something simmers on the stove and the wine chills in the fridge. Time to get cracking, its just two weeks away!

If you want to learn more check it out!

RECIPES

Cozy up to Casserole!

Sausage and Rice Casserole: This calls for a few pantry ingredients (rice, a can of tomatoes) but it also has plenty of room in it for some of the veggies you have kicking around. Kale? Sweet Potatoes? Get on in here.

Pasta Sausage Casserole: If you haven't already devoured your pasta, here is a great use for it. Similar to the above its very flexible (calls for turkey sausage we're using Hot Italian- bellissima!). We're using sautéed kale in lieu of spinach and adding more cheese. Because there should always be more cheese.

Greek Kale Salad: We are usually falling all over Kale Caesar but what about the Greek counterpart?  You can pull things off your shelf for this as they discuss or enjoy with more creative toppings- left over sweet potato, blistered grape tomatoes. Go for it!

Lemon Garlic Haddock: This has "quick weeknight" all over it.

Skate Wing with Pasta and Peas: Since its not pea season we are going to blister the grape tomatoes an add them and their juices to the plate.  A nice fat pinch of Maldon over the top will bring everything together.

HINT
Some of you might be wondering: "These salted caramels look so delicious, how should I go about eating them?" I recommend locking yourself in a room and scarfing 'em before anyone else gets their mitts on them. The need to share is a construct.
