All Greek to Me.

All Greek to Me.

Good Morning!

We hope the last stretches of summer are treating you well and you are enjoying the August bounty: tomatoes for breakfast lunch and dinner, beautiful sunsets and surprising amounts of rose.

A quick note:

Tomorrow some ungodly amount of rain and wind is expected to visit the Boston area. As you can imagine, this is just a dream for a delivery business.

To prevent our team from waking up in the middle of the night drenched in sweat thinking about sopping wet paper bags, we will be, for one week only, doing the return of the (drum roll) ....Black Fabric Family Dinner Bag!

Each of these bags is brand new and have never been used. We had stopped using our fabric bags due to the pandemic and these guys are only being called off the bench to protect your local goodies from the deluge.

We are still not taking fabric bags back, we will let you know ASAP once we are ready to welcome them back with open arms.

Also, given that tomorrow is due to look like the opening scenes from the Wizard of Oz ( we're crossing our fingers that a house doesn't land on Erin), we will ask for your patience as delivery times may be extended - as we work to create new delivery infrastructure and keep our team safe.

Thank you and say dry!

All Greek to Me.

More than half a dozen of our customers have said to us "Have you ever heard of Sophia's Greek Yogurt out of Belmont?" They then extoll the various virtues of the yogurt like an Elizabethan poet, saying that we simply have to get it for Family Dinner.

Well we had heard of Sophia's and knew it was excellent. We also knew it was harder to find than a Horcrux in the first part of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (double clap to my nerds in the back!).

Finally this week, we made it happen. We called the woman herself, placed our order and she said "Honey, that's a lot of yogurt."

Yes ma'am. We are hoping you love it. Sophia Skopetos of “Sophia’s Greek Pastry” in Belmont makes her yogurt the way she learned in Greece. It's tangy, thick and delicious. A spoon might just stand right up in a bowl of it.

Join it with you summer fruits, make a delicious Tzatziki or just enjoy with some simple granola.  It's a new yogurt on the block and we would love to hear what you think.
