Good Morning Friends,

We are participating in yearly collection for the brave women of Rosie's place, the first women's only shelter in Boston.

We will be collecting hygiene products for the holidays for the many women of the shelter; body wash, deodorant, toothpaste, haircare, face wash, tampons and more. (Unopened, please!) And we would LOVE your help.

If you would like to participate, we kindly ask that you leave these types of products out with your bags on drop off days.

If you prefer a monetary donation and we can shop for these items, please Venmo me @Erin-Baumgartner (you'll see the photo is me in my overalls) and put Rosie in the memo.

SUPPER IS READY

Since the holidays I have barely had the energy to turn the stove on. The only action that ole gal is getting is when I fire her up to make a scrambled egg for Frank the Dog each morning. Beyond that culinary exercise, I'm deep in sloth mode relying on pizza and tablespoons of peanut butter right from the jar. (Preference: crunchy, but any old butter will do).

If you're feeling a similar motivation malaise, may we suggest a quick tour of the Prepared Foods aisle of the Family Dinner store? We have mac n cheese, dumplings from Mei Mei, chicken pot pies, Salad of the Week and more. Spend less time thinking about dinner and more time trying to process today's New York Times Connections game. That thing is a doozy.

Pair it all with a simple salad of greens from Kitchen Garden Farm and apple slices from Kimball Fruit farm and you're basically Ina Garten. (GREAT bio, anyone read it??)

I need to skip this week!

Please email us by Sunday evening if you'd like us to skip the order that is due to process on Monday! This would not be for the items listed above but for the following delivery. It really, REALLY helps us if you skip BEFORE orders process early Monday morning.

You can take us with you! Get in touch and we'll put together a custom package of goodies to keep you sated while you're enjoying the Cape or Bar Harbor. If you're expecting to be away for several weeks or months we can put your subscription on hold.

Recipes

Shaved Steak Stir Fry - Dash some of that tasty garlic salt from Hippy Pilgrim. Heat, like, a tablespoon each of oil and butter till just smoking. Sauté shaved steak till done. Serve with white rice. Dinner in (almost) no time.

Whiskied Roasted Parsnip and Apple Puree - Parsnips are back! And we've got some apples alongside 'em. Quite the dynamic duo and I like this take on the classic mash (WHISKEY). And if I were you, I'd be tucking some of that sausage right on top for a soul warming meal.

Herby Buttered Balsamic Mushroom Ravioli - This should be "Cheese Ravioli With Herby Buttered Balsamic Mushroom Sauce". And that kinda says it all.
