Good Morning!

As the weather gets warmer and warmer, a reminder that the Salad of the Week from Forge Baking Co is here for your easy weekday meals. A rotating selection of bright, fresh dishes to stock up on and grab on the go. It comes in a 32 oz container ready to be portioned out to nommed on all at once with comically large fork (that's what happens in this house anyway). Give it a go, we hope you love it.

Family Dinner G.O.A.Ts

Meet Amy and Bruce Rogers, two of the G.O.A.Ts of Family Dinner. Amy and Bruce have been with us since the beginning, supporting and encouraging us, providing feedback and helping us grow.

This week marks their 300th order. Honestly when I saw that number, quite by accident, I teared up a little (I think someone must have been mincing onions nearby). Though we're thrilled to call them friends now, we didn't know them when they started with Family Dinner, and they have stuck with us providing incredible support along the way.

We asked Amy about Family Dinner:

"I feel like we have a personal shopper each week that goes to all the best farmers markets curating gorgeous produce and unique products to go with them bringing our meals to a whole other level!

The FD team has a gift for curating such tasty products that we are constantly exposed to things we'd have never known about. The team pushes us to try different produce we wouldn't normally grab if doing our own shopping. (and yes. Amy plays favorites. She loves the Sharona pita, the Haydari from Magic Bites and Sophia's greek yogurt. Oh. And treats.)

We've been with family dinner since it's very beginning and watched it grow and expand. As the company has grown we still feel the close caring bond we felt from the early days!"

Their son Sam (delightful person) added: "Family Dinner always goes above and always makes you feel like a part of the family."

Man. Such kind words from a few wonderful people. We're so lucky to have this incredibly community of folks with Family Dinner. Thank you all for being with us.

It's asparagus time!

Heres a few ways to tackles our favorite spears.

Asparagus with Fresh Mozzarella: This chef suggests a nice lemony dressing. If you don't have time a glug of a good olive oil and a splash of lemon will do ya.

Poached Eggs, Asparagus and Toast: Simple and perfect.

Swordfish with Aparagus and Beans: If a whole swordfish steak is intimidating you can kabob it and use it in this delicious dish.

Asparagus Risotto - Keep it simple and keep it coming.

This week we've got some dough from The Good Crust. As always, for the dough, defrost overnight in the fridge and then a few hours before you plan to shape it, let it rise, covered, on your counter. It'll be way easier to work with.

Spicy Pork Sausage and Mushroom Pizza - Direct from the source! We've done some of the heavy lifting by providing most of you with some of Tide Mill's delicious chicken Italian sausage. Or omit if you're not feeling meaty (or perhaps if you're feeling too meaty... tis the season, after all).

Italian Sausage and Mushroom Calzone - Or calzone it up. [The chicken Italian sausage would be a wonderful stand-in here for the pork sausage.] Here's one standard-cause-it's-delicious version but the world is your filling.
