Smootches for the Pooches

People have long been asking about treats and food for the the #1 person in their lives, their dogs.

This week our pals at Brookford Farm heroically answered this call. They are making raw chicken and carrot patties for your pooches to treat them like the royalty they are. Bella, pictured, can vouch for them. Two paws up.

These patties will arrive frozen. Thaw them, tell that furry terrorist who runs your life that you love them and serve it up.

We hope you, and they, love it.

Recipes (MA)

Paprika Parm Flounder: The paprika brings a warm zing that the parm sushes down a bit, don't forget a squeeze of lemon. These little fillets take no time at all. Don't bother freezing!

Blueberry Pancakes: A riff on the recipe on the box. More blueberries and some sour.

Chive Blossoms: These scream spring and they are delicious. Garnish anything with them or use them on eggs, in a sandwich or salad. Eat the heck out of the flowers. They are so bright and lovely.

Lemon-Buttermilk Waffles with Blueberry Butter - The pancake/waffle mix from Carolyn's Farm Kitchen is tasty as heck. This blueberry butter sounds like an amazing foil.

Strawberry Rhubarb Pancakes - Rhubarb season is upon us! Strawberry and rhubarb are one of my fav flavor combos for sweet stuff. I grew up demanding strawberry rhubarb pie for any/every special occasion or just cause. Will definitely be making these pancakes.

Samosa Sweet Potato Breakfast Wraps with Tofu Scramble - Sure, we're getting a bit breakfast heavy but this is a dish that could be served at any meal. And maybe a fun way to get the kiddos involved.

Seriously Meaty Turkey Burgers Recipe - As is often the case with Kenji López-Alt, this is pretty maximalist. And even those of us with salty pallets (✋) dial back the salt and marmite a bit. It's worth the extra steps/ingredients if you've got the time but here's a more direct approach.

Radish Toast - Barely a recipe. But so dang tasty. If you've got some kicking around, you could/should def throw some tinned fish on there, too.

Grilled Salmon - We'd be remiss if we didn't shout out that a lot of folks consider this weekend the kick off to grilling season (have you not been grilling already?!). And here's some techniques you can use all summer long when grilling fish.
