Ewe have a friend.
It's unlikely that James Taylor had a baby sheep in mind when he penned his 1971 classic "You've Got a Friend"... but what if he had?
The lambs that arrive each year at Clark Farm are a joy to see. They are birthed and within twenty minutes they are walking around and feeding off their mothers. Surrounded by hay and warmth they have all the space and time they need to stumble, get back up and wander around like the tiny, furry drunken adults they are. It's amazing.
We are excited to expand our friendship and partnership with Andrew at Clark Farm. We met yesterday to put our heads together about Spring Crops for Family Dinner. Pouring over seed catalogues we brainstormed an array of Asian Greens; mustards, mizuna, tatsoi as well as a few other staples to keep you excited and invigorated about warmer weather cooking. Spring is on its way, people. I promise. And its going to be delicious.
And last but not least we want to talk about new friends in new zip codes.
Like every hero in Game of Thrones does at some point: we are headed North (again).
This time we are expanding to Peabody, Saugus and Salem. We're coming for you, North Shore!
Know anyone who would love to try Family Dinner?
Have them use NSHORE50 for 50% off their first order, and we will bring it North!

RECIPES
We turned this week's recipe magic over to our good pal Christine Liu. Lover of recipe hunting, funky ingredients and all things fermented. We asked her to tackle the kimchi, radish and salmon and find a new and fun way to nosh on your kale. The ideas and comments are hers with some pieces of flair from us.
From Christine:
"Obvi kimchi can be just eaten straight any hour of the day but some fun inspos:
kimchi stew (kimchi-jjigae) (i would suggest veg folks can use mushrooms or kombu for the stock in lieu of anchovies)
(There's even a video y'all!)
kimchi bloody mary! YES YES YES. Sunday morning never looked so good.
watermelon radish salad + simply cooked salmon is a neat combo:
Slow-Roasted Lapsang Salmon with Spring Vegetables (tea marinade is fun twist on salmon, low and slow technique ensures super moist fish, and can use whatever veg is lying around for a nice green salad)
And for our lovely queen kale: Kale Pesto (easy peasy). Get that on your eggs, salmon and mix with a bit of cream for your pasta
this Baked Feta and Greens with Lemony Yogurt is dreamy and has the edge of incorporating greek yogurt, yum
Dreamy, indeed.
delicious Kale Soup (another kewl way to use up odds and ends)
And that's all she wrote. Send us a photo of your Bloody Kimchi Mary so we can die of envy.
Bon Appetit, Friends.
See you next week!
