Happy Day After the Day.

We all made it. Chanukah and Christmas are blissfully behind us. Hopefully it was full of some good food, a drink or three and some giggles here and there.

We're going to keep this one short and say thank you. Thank you for all of your support, your kind words and your part in this community. We are so grateful for all of you. We hope you get some rest and a moment to fill the tank back up after a whirlwind of a month.

Also quick question for the moms and dads in the room: As a new parent to a 12 and 9 year old, this whole "school vacation" and "ten days of the children being home 24/7 with no job, direction or purpose" is befuddling.

Does this happen every year without fail? Will they ever stop talking? Is God a benevolent entity? Any words of wisdom would be appreciated.

Let the merriment, good food and sweet dreams continue.

Sheet Pan Sausage and Veggies - It's root veg season! Dishes like this are a staple of our winter meals. You can use just about any veg you have kicking around. Trick is to make sure that, when you cut the veg, it's the size that will finish cooking around the same time the rest of the veg cooks.

Cabbage Rolls - A bit of a labor of love but a great Sunday afternoon cooking project. And it freezes really well.

Martha Stewart’s Blueberry Crisp - I know, I know... the thought of another sweet treat that you can't stop eating until you're prostrate on the floor. But this is a great recipe to have in your back pocket.
