Sometimes when we pen the newsletter, we are bubbling with things we want to share with you. Positively effervescent with bits of news and things to share. Sometimes the culinary puns and not-so-witty witticisms run off the page faster than we can keep up.

And sometimes, like today, we find ourselves at a loss. Not exactly uninspired but creeping toward that general vicinity.

Joe, our GM for Maine and New Hampshire and avid cat enthusiast (pictured) had an excellent suggestion:

Salmon Salad - Sometimes you're just not feeling a filet. I like to cook it up and turn it into a salad to serve on toasted or grilled bread with a chilled glass of white. Yum.

Recipes (ME + NH)

Garlic Roasted Chicken Leg Quarters - Easy and manages to be both flavorful but kind of a blank slate that you can serve with all sortsa sides. Toss some veg onto that sheet tray, too. (Just be sure to cut them in appropriate chunks so they finish at the same time: veg that takes longer? Cut smaller.)

Napa Cabbage Kimchi - I'm excited to get some Napa cabbage into shares this week! If you've never made your own kimchi, now is the time. It's super satisfying. If you're looking for an easier version (and vegan), check this one out.

Asian Pear and Goat Cheese Salad, with Sweet and Tangy Dressing - We've gotten some fairly rabid responses to just how good these asian pears are from Champlain Orchards. If you're not just gonna rip into them out of hand, this is a lovely showcase.

Mahi Mahi Tacos - You firing up the grill yet?! If not, you can certainly pan roast or griddle. And maybe some kohlrabi slaw on top?
