Joe here, stepping in for Erin.

I'm a ~~tad~~ very enthused that we're FINALLY seeing some seasonal goodies coming around.

Foraged fiddleheads from Joe Czajkowski Farm. Sauté and see what the fuss is all about.

Chives from Langwater Farm. Ingredient and garnish wunderkind.

A spicy mix from Kitchen Garden Farm that is my go-to for most salads, especially the all time best salad: Niçoise.

Spinach from Red Fire Farm that, when sautéed with copious amounts of dairy, is the perfect foil for the insane grass-fed fancy steaks some are getting.

Kitchen Garden Farm baby bok choy which is delicious simply stir fried.

And halibut. Yup. My fav white fish by a country mile.

We know winter is tough and spring can be even more annoying, especially this year with the wild and inhospitable weather that we, as well as all the veg we're craving, have been getting hammered with. So my excitement spikes whenever a new piece of produce or seafood becomes available. I suddenly start dreaming of grilling, eating outdoors, margaritas and the long, sunny days that are ahead.

Recipes

David Chang’s 10-minute Tingly Microwave Chicken - Microwaves get a majorly and unwarranted bad rap. For this recipe, you can use just about any non-BBQ spice blend. We've got the chicken and the bok choy for ya. And garnishing with some of the lovely chives is icing on the cake. Quintessential weeknight meal that, trust me, is very tasty.

Simple Grilled Halibut - I love halibut. It ain't cheap but it's firm, bright, flavorful, grill-able goodness is worth it. And this is a great exercise in KISS (keeping it simple, stupid).

Grilled Bone-In Rib-Eye Steaks With Blue Cheese - Oh, man... serious business here. But let's not take it so seriously that we get worked up in an anxious frenzy about doneness or perfection or whatever. Do your best. These things are so darn flavorful that you've got some leeway.

Sheet Pan Gnocchi - Yup. Vegetarian, takes about 30 minutes, dinner is served. Want something meaty? Creamy Chicken and Gnocchi your table instead.
