We have a Mother's Day pop up live in the store for you. Fresh pasta and sauces from Fox & the Knife, cheese boxes from Local Goods Gathered, cookies from Botanical Bakes (more on those magicians below) and more.

While we can't get all the moms out there what they actually want for Mother's Day (social justice, a glass of wine and some time alone, for once!) we can make sure that everyone is well fed.

The Cookie of the Gods

In the store this week we have just the gorgeous, delicious cookies from Sweet Botanical bakes. They are the epitome of buttery, yummy, crunchy, happy. (Yes, I know that makes no sense but these cookies are wildly good.)

Sweet Botanical Bakes is a lady owned small business in Medford, MA specializing in buttery shortbread cookies made with edible flowers.

Since moving here nearly two decades ago, Lauren has been passionate about the Boston food scene (same!) Working with plants has been a tradition since her grandfather built green houses in upstate New York and supplied the city with thousands of carnations and delphiniums each year. You can see and taste those whimsical childhood memories in each of her creations.

And for ANOTHER feel good moment - Lauren donates five percent of all proceeds to local community gardens, Seed Savers Exchange, and United Plant Savers.

So there you have it, folks. Eating cookies will save the Earth. I will take no further questions.

White Fish and Chorizo Stew: Name a more iconic duo...

Lemon Chive Sauce: First chives of the season! And boy, do they look lovely. I'm smothering this week's hake with this but it would be equally good on some grilled veggies or roast chicken.

Radish Greens: First bunched radishes of the season! (Finally starting to feel like we're leaving the winter veg doldrums behind.) We slice these elongated orbs thinly over just about anything but don't sleep on using the tops.
