A reminder!
Joe has been busy building out the store for folks with fun seasonal add-ons.
Garlic scapes, tomatoes and mozz, a pickle kit (it's a really big dill!) and more.
There's also the flower share to brighten your table and fruit shares are right around the corner!
This seasonal rotation stands as a complement to all the standard add-ons we are proud to offer from local producers like eggs from Featherbrook farm, milk from Crescent Ridge and coffee (thank god for this one) from Tandem.
And hey, use code ADD-ONS so you don't get hit with double delivery fees.
Some Light Reading
I have been cranking through books this summer while lazing like a lizard in the sun. Lots of heady dark literature (anyone read the Vegetarian by Han Kang? Makes Kafka look like he's spinning fairy tales.)
Beyond the dystopian literature and the rage inducing political tomes I have been finding solace in cook books, of which I own approximately one billion.
A friend gifted me this one. Something from Nothing by Alison Roman is a beautiful, simple book I can't put down or stop spilling olive oil on. I'm maybe a dozen dishes in and the pages are battle worn already. An excellent sign.
It's all about humble ingredients being elevated to dishes that feel much fanicer. A cucumber fennel salad, carbonara for two, brown butter potato salad. The book has quickly become a favorite. Take a peek at her YouTube channel for a hint on what she's got cooking. It's escapism at its most delicious.
We hope you have a wonderful weekend. Eat something delicious and take a walk with someone you've missed.
