Pie in the Sky
Hello All,
This week we are confessing our love to CommonWealth Kitchen. We have been eyeing this amazing organization from across the room for many years and it's time to make it official.
CommonWealth Kitchen is a shared kitchen facility and a food incubator in Boston that focuses heavily on woman-owned and BIPOC-owned businesses. They are mission-driven down to their bones. In their own words:
"At CommonWealth Kitchen, we believe in the power of inclusive entrepreneurship to change the world.
In fact, we prove every day what is possible when we level the playing field: talented, passionate entrepreneurs prosper and move society to be more equitable and just. Our powerful network shares a passion for people, a hunger for equity, and a love of food. Together, we are unstoppable."
That's the stuff that goosebumps are made of, folks!
From their commissary kitchen this week we have veggie fritters for our vegetarians and pesto making its way into all shares. The pesto's ingredients are sourced from local farms and its simple, perfect and delicious. I'm going to throw mine into a pot of pasta with a few handfuls of shredded cheese and call dinner done.
We also are highlighting one of their many businesses, Big Little Pies, as your treat of the week. Owner Lauren is passionate about pie and uses the best ingredients to create each of these little loves by hand. They're the right size to share but no one will judge you if you hide from your kids in the coat closet and eat it all yourself.
It's going to be a beautiful weekend friends, go get some sun on your skin and some pie in your face.
Much Love,
Erin + Joe
