A little, organic bird may have told you that we have expanded Family Dinner into Portland, Maine. (And if you didn't know, now you know.) One of the very best parts of working in a new community is meeting the folks who make up its fabric. We met Lee and Bryna from LB Kitchen early in our Portland wanderings and fell in love immediately.

Lee and Bryna are life and business partners as owners of LB Kitchen in Portland.  Their approach to food is clean and creative, personal and passionate.  I try--and woefully fail--to keep my fan-girling under wraps in their presence and I essentially begged them to cook for our Massachusetts shares this week. (So much for keeping your cool.) They offered up a local and organic Sweet Chili Tofu for the Vegetarians and a beet hummus for the whole and double shares.  There is so much more we are looking to do with them. Here's a bit more about them so you can fall in love, too:

Caesar Salad - Serious Eat's "The Best" recipes tend to be pretty maximalist, but check this out and you'll see how easy (and incredibly tasty) making your own caesar dressing is. And don't be afraid of the anchovies. I cram them 'cuz I love the taste, but you can skimp and still get what they've got to give without even a hint of fishiness.
