Everyone, meet Cathryn.

She is a long time Family Dinner customer and member of the team. (If you live on the North Shore she has probably delivered to you at least once!)

She is a beautiful, wonderful person and has simply the best laugh. This week we wanted to shine the spotlight on her.

Two weeks ago Cathryn read in this little newsletter about her co-worker Brian and his bonkers plan to hike the Appalachian Trail. Her mind immediately kicked into gear, and she called her nephew Austin who works at Backpackers Pantry.

"Austin is the logistics manager for Backpacker's Pantry in Boulder, CO. They are a top brand of dehydrated meals, their largest account being NASA! I connected Brian and Austin after I read Brian's comment (in the newsletter) about enjoying a homemade meal at the end of a backpacking day."

Austin's response was incredibly swift and generous. He wrote to Brian and asked him to pick out products that were immediately shipped to Brian's home. More yummy packages will be sent to Brian along his 2,000 mile trek.

Man, I just love this. Wonderful people helping wonderful people. Is someone chopping onions in here? My eyes....

Cathryn has been a Family Dinner customer since 2020. But became aware of us well before when she worked at Lark Fine Foods (Helllllo ginger cookies!).

" I read in the newsletter that Family Dinner might need some drivers. I have always admired their quality of product and it just seemed like a group of people that I would enjoy working with. People with similar values and beliefs about "treating the world kindly."

Treating the world kindly and feeding people good food.

That just about sums it up.

Ricotta Toast: a few ideas for Ricotta toast to use that yummy cheese from Mozzarella House to its fullest!

Sausage and White bean skillet: Empty that fridge into a pot and add some beans.

Spicy Sea Bass - bring the heat with an additonal pinch of the red pepper. Serve over rice or with a simple green salad.
