Good morning friends!

A few quick things!

1- Please leave your bags out for the drivers to take! We clean and sanitize them weekly and reuse them - helps us to be a low waste company. And good golly are they expensive! So whether you have 2 or 274, please leave them out (ice packs too!) and we will lovingly take 'em back.

2- Flower season is back! Get your flowers of the week to brighten up your day and bring a smile to that beautiful face of yours.

3- Looking for something fun to do this weekend? Course you are! Our friends at Clark Farm and Iron Ox Farm have you covered. Andrew at Clark is hosting a Grow Great Tomatoes class this Saturday at 10 am. And on Sunday head up to beautiful Iron Ox farm for their first pop up event of the season. Dozens of small local businesses; snacks, art, music and more snacks. See you there!

Scape season is here! Going to quote a Family Dinner from last year (maybe even the year before?):

What exactly are these curly, serpentine-looking veggies? The simple answer is that they are the early stages of where flowers come from to produce seeds. There are two ways that garlic propagates (to make more plants)–through either seeds or cloves. Plants only have so much energy–they can put that energy towards either making seeds or bulb development. Therefore, if you want to enjoy those delicious garlic cloves with your winter stews, pasta sauces, chicken, tofu, steak, fish, etc., you can see why it’s important that the scapes get the snip.

Thankfully, these scapes lend the same aromatic garlic flavor as their clove counterparts. One of my absolute favorite things to make every year is garlic scape pesto. Add the pesto to pasta, chicken, risottos, mayo for sammies *Chef’s Kiss*! Delicious. You can also turn them into a compound butter, pickle them, sauté them in butter, and grill them.

Roasted Chicken With Clementines & Arak: Sooo tasty. Good move for an ambitious weeknight dinner but even better for guests on the weekend.

~~Turkey~~ Beef and Bok Choy "Larb": I love me some larb and the idea of throwing in some garlic scapes has me hankering. Super easy and flavorful, I'm subbing the turkey with the ground beef in this week's shares.

Summer Squash With Pesto and Parmesan: Summer squash, zucchini and scapes... SUMMER IS NIGH. And as long as you're whipping up some scape pesto, might as well use it in your roasted squash and zucchini.
