At a recent event at Fork Food Lab (our Portland packing location), we got the chance to meet Tara Treichel of SeaMade, a seaweed snack bar company.  We fell in love with both the story and the treats that are making their way into your shares this week.  

SeaMade aims to serve health-conscious consumers by providing education and convenient access to seaweed through tasty foods and other seaweed products. SeaMade is committed to socially responsible business and environmental sustainability and donates a percentage of profits to ocean conservation. A bit more of Tara's story in her own words: 

"As a health-conscious, active person, I seek foods that are nutritious, taste great, and make me feel good in body and mind. I was amazed to discover the clean taste and nutrient-packed goodness of seaweed while guiding kayak trips along our northern coastline. 

I started SeaMade in 2015, with the goal of bringing the tasty, nutritious goodness of Maine seaweed to health-minded consumers everywhere. Mustard Roasted Hake - I want this all the time. Super easy, remarkably tasty. (If you don't have/can't find crème fraiche, you can sub with equal amounts of sour cream. Or, if you're feeling like a big shot, make your own!)
 
Polenta and Kale Soup With Miso and Toasted Sesame Oil - Nice lil' twist on a classic. And incidentally, it's vegan!
 
Sheet Pan Pork Chops with Carrots and Maple Dijon Potatoes - Cut some stuff, measure some stuff, cook all the stuff. Sheet tray recipes are a fave, and this one has some punch.
 
Stuffed Cabbage - Apparently, these freeze remarkably well, but if you've got leftovers, you've got way more self control than me. Wouldn't mind some spaetzle getting cozy underneath these either.
